The $3million baby? How much for this colt?

I took this little image almost 12 months ago, on 19 April 2012.  It was a long time in the planning, and it seemed like such a perfect day and trip.  It involved dreams and planning coming true, and what I thought was a leap of faith.  The photograph is of Black Caviar's dam Helsinge (Desert Sun - Scandinavia) and her then (almost a) weanling colt by Redoute's Choice (Danehill Shantha's Choice).  I took the image just after I'd photographed the colt's full sister sell for a record $2.6m, and the day after I'd returned from photographing the colt's great sire Redoute's Choice up at Arrowfield Stud, in what was an incredibly busy 2 week period.

The Herald Sun phoned me yesterday afternoon wanting to run the image in a piece they were writing on the now yearling colt which is due to sell at the 2013 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale as Lot 131 in April.  The colt is almost priceless...  As is famous half sister Black Caviar (who just returned to win her 3rd successive Lightning Stakes), half brother All Too Hard (won the G1 CF Orr and is about to contest the G1 Futurity Stakes this weekend), and their famous mum Helsinge.  The year older full sister to this colt is now a 2yo and is named Belle Couture.  Helsinge has a little baby sister (by Bel Esprit) to the Famous Pony Black Caviar still at foot, and she's back in foal to All Too Hard's sire Casino Prince.

Talk about blue chip.  It is THE family in the stud book at the moment.
