In love with The Pharoah

No mum, I haven't forgotten how to spell Pharoah..  I am writing about a horse, who on Sunday morning Australian time won the Triple Crown in America.  His name is American Pharoah.  It was pretty cool.  I feel completely in love with the American thoroughbred at the moment.  But then again, I think I always was.  Something about growing up refusing to read anything except "The Black Stallion" books I guess...  These stallions are so far my only links to the Triple Crown.  I love each and every one of them.

"AK" - 2011 Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom.  I took these images during his first photoshoot in September 2013 at Arrowfield Stud.  He's a lot of fun...

I'm in love with this horse.  Medaglia d'Oro.  Apart from siring 2015 Golden Slipper winner Vancouver he's also the sire of Preakness winner Rachel Alexandra.  The first filly in 85 years to win the Preakness.

Street Sense.  Kentucky Derby champion in 2007.  Lost the Preakness by a head.  Sire of Hallowed Crown here in Australia.  I took these in 2011.

Here's a horse!!!!  Big Brown.  Winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness in 2008.  Thought he would win the Triple Crown.  Made everyone sit up and watch it.  He quartered his heel though.  I was shattered he didn't win, but delighted when he became one of 'my boys' at Vinery.  Love him.

Street Cry - his final portrait.  We knew that he wasn't well when I took this in August 2014.
Groan - dear Street Cry.  Sire of Street Sense. Not to mention the champion Zenyatta.  He died here in Australia last year.  It was heartbreaking.

First time I photographed Street Cry.  I was pretty excited.  2010 or  2011 I think???

Another of Street Sense.  From 2010 or 2011 perhaps?
